I was thrilled to learn last week that I was the finalist for the Rex Babin Memorial Award for Excellence in Local Cartooning. I’m honored to be in company with Joel Pett, the longtime Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist for Kentucky’s Lexington-Herald Leader, who was unceremoniously fired by McClatchy earlier this year. And I loved how they described my cartoons in the writeup:
